Russian Military Tests New Missile Interceptor

The Russian military has tested a new missile interceptor at the Sary-Shagan testing range in Kazakhstan.

In a statement, the Defense Ministry said, “The air and missile defense crew of the Russian Aerospace Forces has successfully conducted another test launch of a new Russian missile defense system at Sary-Shagan.”

The Defense Ministry did not name the missile that was tested.  RIA Novosti referenced military expert Igor Korotchenko as saying the test was of the 53T6M interceptor.
