The Emirati-designed and -produced vehicle NIMR Ajban 440A has reportedly been spotted in Sudan, amid a crackdown on protesters after transition talks broke down.

At least three vehicles have been spotted, but it is not known how many were provided in total or when they arrived.
The United Arab Emirates and neighbor Saudi Arabia have emerged as key partners of the military-led transitional government in Sudan, which ousted the long-time ruler of Sudan, Omar al-Bashir, in April. Since then, the military has held dialogue with Sudanese civil society groups with a goal of a transition to civilian rule, but the talks have stalled. With the talks collapsing, security forces have reportedly conducted a crackdown on protesters, with dozens reported killed in ongoing violence.
Both Saudi Arabia and the UAE agreed to provide $3 billion in aid to Sudan. Late last month, Sudanese General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who heads the military council, visited the UAE and met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed.
