Egypt Receives Two More Rafale Jets

The Egyptian Air Force has taken delivery of two more Rafale fighter jets.

In a post on social media, the Egyptian military spokesperson confirmed that a new batch of Rafale fighter jets arrived to Egypt. The Egyptian military released several photos showing the two new single-seat jets.

The delivery had been reported last week. The French military attaché in Cairo announced that two more jets were to be delivered on July 25, 2017.

The new arrivals bring Egypt’s inventory of Rafale fighter jets to 11. Egypt is expected to take delivery of another batch of three jets later this year, meaning that end of year strength will total 14 Rafales.

Egypt has on order 24 Rafale jets.
