Russian Helicopters CEO Andrei Boginsky discussed the Ka-52 sale to Egypt.
Speaking on Russia 24 TV, Boginsky noted that 15 Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack helicopters in all would be provided to Egypt. As was previously reported, he stated that some had already been delivered.
He said, “Three in the first batch for training, three in the second batch, 15 this year, and 46 in total.”
The second batch is due to arrive this month. Egypt placed an order for 46 last year and is currently negotiating over another possible order for the Ka-52’s naval variant, the Ka-52K.
Boginsky noted that the Ka-52K is due to enter serial production in 2020 and he hopes Egypt will become the first customer for the helicopter.
