The U.S. Navy has awarded Boeing a $2.5 billion contract for production of 19 P-8A aircraft. The buy includes 10 aircraft for the U.S. Navy, four for the United Kingdom, and all five jets under contract for Norway. The United Kingdom will receive its first aircraft in 2019, and deliveries to Norway will begin in 2021.
The value of the contract is broken down as follows: $1.3 billion for the U.S. Navy, $695 million for Norway, and $506.9 million for the U.K.
